THE PIRATE BAY UPDATED WITH PHOENIX IMAGE AND SET TO RETURN ON 1 FEBRUARY

The Pirate Bay — an infamous Torrent website predominantly used to share copyrighted material free of charge — could be relaunched on 1st February, the date the website has long been expected to return.

The website went dark from the Internet following a raid in Sweden last month. After a complaint was filed by a group called the Rights Alliance, Swedish Police officers raided The Pirate Bay's server room in Stockholm and seized several servers and other equipment.

INDIA GOVERNEMENT BLOCKS 32 WEBSITE

India's Department of Telecom, which seems to have a penchant for blocking genuine and reliable websites just on the basis of a complaint, has struck again. And this time it has blocked 32 websites. The list of the blocked websites include Vimeo, which is a YouTube like video host, and Github, a website used by software developers to host and share programming code.

Hackers can read your private sms and listen to phone calls

Security researchers have discovered a massive security flaw that could let hackers and cybercriminals listen to private phone calls and read text messages on a potentially vast scale – no matter if the cellular networks use the latest and most advanced encryption available.

The critical flaw lies in the global telecom network known as Signal System 7 that powers multiple phone carriers across the world, including AT&T and Verizon, to route calls, texts and other services to each other. The vulnerability has been discovered by the German researchers who will present their findings at a hacker conference in Hamburg later this month.
